Singer and guitarist Tony Cuffe was one of the most\r\ndistinctive voices of the past three decades, \r\nfirst in the music and song of his native Scotland, \r\nand later in the Irish music scene of North America.\r\nHe played with three seminal bands in the instrumental \r\nwave of the revival and his playing helped pioneer \r\nthe transposition of Scots fiddle and pipe music to the \r\nguitar. He was a great performer, an inspiring teacher, \r\nand much loved by his family, friends and those who heard \r\nhim.\r\n"With his native feeling for the emotive power of the \r\nwords, his sensitivity to the aching beauty of the airs \r\nand his unfailing ability to mell guitar and voice in a \r\ncreative whole, Tony graced the Scots tradition with \r\nsongs which, in the brilliance of his interpretation, \r\nhe made entirely his own."\r\n\r\nBilly Kay\r\n\r\n"Tony's guitar playing continues to fire the imagination. His playing of fiddle and bagpipe tunes is entirely within the idiom he loved yet wholly new. His stand alone fingerstyle arrangements will always be a landmark in the instrumental music of Scotland."\r\nTony McManus\r\n\r\n\r\n'Sae Will We Yet' - the CD\r\nComprising mainly previously unreleased material from \r\nprivate, concert and studio recordings, this disc has at \r\nits heart tracks from a projected solo album of Scottish \r\nand Irish love songs.\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\n\r\n
